C. Minns, K. Sinclair, J. H. Lascelles (Balliol); J. C.'Dakin (Trinity); S. E. Williams (New College);, F. H. Pitts-Brown (OrieD, and R. J. Harris (Magdalen). Mr Dakin, now honorarytreasurer of the Hongi Club, and Mr Minns were the» newly-appointed Rhodes scholars. Mr Minns recovered from an injury to his hand in time'to play Rugby for Oxford against' Cambridge. Mr Sinclair is in Oxford for one year, under the new scheme,, in preparation for one of the British African Administrative Services. New Zealanders holding academic posts /in the University are: Drs. 8. P. MoCallum and K. Sisam, and Messrs R. Syme and P.,A. Taylor. The last-named haß recently returned to Oxford on the completion of his Rhodes Travelling Tutorship. " Mr W. G. Kalaugher, having been prevented, by injuries from sitting for ■ his" degree last year, has, returned fora fourth year. Mr J. D» Ea-nkiiio also in Oxford for a fourth year, in preparation for one of the British African- Administrative Services. Messrs' K. Clark, C. A. Sharp, and J. Platts-Mills are in their third and final year. Mr Sharp_ (president of 'the Hongi Club) is doing the year's ■ preparatory work ,in Oxford before proceeding to' Burma in thef Indian' Civil Service. "Mr Platts-Mills, has been successful in winning ,a law scholarship for three years in London. Second-year members in residence are Messrs WL. E. Henley (honorary secretary of the Club), E.- E. Bailey, H. Mi Scott, and J. T, Hogg.
