WORKERS' EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION.
PROGRAMME FOR COMING SESSION. The .programme of classes and other "activities £or the coming session was discussed by the Canterbury District Council of the Workers' Educktitjnal Association, held on Monday evening. Mr S, Schofield, vice-president, was in the chair.'- ; . " It was "recommended that the . following Tutorial classes in Christchurch be. authorised:—Public speaking, horticultural botany, psychology and health, drama, psychology and anthropology, experimental psychology,- economics, Esperanto, astronomy, folk' dancing, economics (for tramway men), and International relations. ' The following classes .in country ..and other centres were recommendejl to be authorised: —Rangiora, science. Oxford, social psychology. Kaiapoi, sociology. Ashburton, history. Now Brighton, Empire problems. Timaru (3): Economics, literature, sociology. _ Waimate, lit; erature. y In addition,, classes under the 'Box Scheme, and under the Carnegie Scheme/ to the number of 30, will be organised. • The weekly socials, for students and their friends, are to be conlinued. The first will be held on Febfuary 28th. An advanced Debating l«kib, under the leadership of Mr J. Hi Wilson, is to be organised. » The* public lectures on popular subjects, and the Paparua -Prison Class ar9 to be continued. The question, as to whether the "-.National Conference of the''Association should be held this year,' was referred 1 to-the '. N - Th'e, official Opening of ttto session 'was arranged to be held on Saturday evening, ~ March 28th.
