Lutwyche (Radley and Magdalen) (cox) .. .. 8 71 Mr Platts Mills was at The Terra«e School, Karori, and Ocean Bay School, Marlborough, after which he entered Nelson College. He matriculated in 1921, and in 1923 headed the credit list of the University Entrance Scholarship; and in 1924 he was seventh in the Junior University Scholarship '• List. During his University career at Wellington he was a notable figure in several branches of sport, and especially distinguished himself as a first-class oarsman of the Star Boating Club. He was elected the New Zealand Rhodes Scholar for 1928, along with Mr C. A. Sharp, and he has since been studying at Balliol College, .Oxford. 'He hav recently been successful in winning a Latw scholarship for three yeara in London.
