RIFLE SHOOTING.
CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB. The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club ! fired Its final long, range competition at Tai Tapu on Saturday afternoon, at 800 and 800 yards. A strong nor'-west wind -was blowing throughout the shooting,, and this mode high scoring rather difficult. Top scorers at 800 yards were R. Neill H. Harries 84. At 900 yards, W. O.Sandford.H. Harries, .and 6. Crimp with 80 each were the best.
