EVENT FOE YOUNG BIRDS. The Christchurch Racing; Pigeon Society, conducted a; young bird race from Parnassus, on Saturday last. The stationmaster libernte.d 120' birds, representing 18 owners, in a north-west wind. The winning bird. Walutul owned' by Mr -W. Hepburn, >: flew. the distance of 75 miles 428 yards in 2hrs. 6min.
