The hospitals are filled with sufferers. The physicians say many aro iJ I agony and at least 20 are in dangei of death, The doctors for a considerable time were unabfc to determine the' cause of the poisoning, and believed the illnesses were due to poison liquor, but when the cause was die- , covered the prompt administration ol soda bicarbonate and warm water apparently saved many from motb serious injury.
