' WHAKGAREI, Februajy 20,' c The "Whanjjarei earthquake -relief funds approximate fil&X), CONCERT IN CIVIC THEATRE. . Organised by Madame Gower Buriis and Mrs J. C. Holmes, a concert in aid of the Hawke's Bay Earthquake Relief Fund? will be given'to-morrow night' in the Civic Theatre, commencing at 5.15 pan. A first-class programme will be contributed by several well-known artists and' will consist of vocal and'instrumental items. Among the performers are" Madame Gower Burns's Quartet (Madame Gower Burnay Misß Vincent, Mr Sogers, and Mr Filer): Mr Harold Beck's 3YA Octet, under, the leadership of Mr Beck; Mr E. Evans (vocalist); Mr Geo. Maxwell (vocalist); Mr W. Hay (flautist). A feature .of the programme will be-the singiftg of "The Holy City" by Mr D. Laws and.of. "Nazareth" by Mrs D. Stallard, the audienoe being, requested to join in the choruses. Besides playing,a number of organ solos, Mr "Arthur Lilly- will play an accompaniment to Madame Gower Burns's Quartet. ' "
