ADVISORY COMMISSIONERS TO ACT. - usoiunox r rauam) WELLINGTON, February 20. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, announced, to-day that ,the Government hacl made arrangements for the Commissioners'of Crown Lands in various districts throughout tho Dominion to act as advisory Commissioners in connexion with negotiations between mortgagees/ and _ mortgagors in cases of hardhip arising out of mortgagors', indebtedness. It is suggested, therefore, that , those people upsiring to .avail themselves of this ■ arrangement should get in touch with i the Commissioner of Crown Lands in their districts. . MASTERTON RAM FAIR PRICES EXCEED VENDORS' EXPECTATIONS. (VMM iSSOCUTIOX T*LSO2UH.) MASTERTON, February 20. Prices in advance of vendors' expectations were realised at the annual ram fair to-day, when stud and flock Lincolns and Southdowns were offered to a large and representative attendance of buyers. The bidding was well distributed. Flock Lincolns ranged from Ijgn to 7igns," and SbuthdoWns from IJgns to 17gns. The top price for a stud Lincoln was 32gns, for an animal sold on> behalf of A. D. McMaster (Martinborough) to L. R. Wilton (Rangituman). Stud Southdowns cold tip to 60gns. That price "was paid by W. W. Buick (Masterton) for an animal offered for Ellis Bros. (Bulls).
