PIONEER LODGE.
. —- HALF-YEARLY MEETING. The Pioneer Lodge, No: I, U.A.0.D., held its half-yearly meeting recently, A.D. Bro. Marriott presiding. The sick bards reported ten members under their care and the sum of £l3 3s 4d was passed for sick pay. The Benevolent Fund Committee reported that they had considered some very deserving cases of distressed brothers, and recommended the sum oi £l2 2s 4d should bo voted to them for Christmas, which was adopted. The balance-sheet showed the Lodge to have made good progress during the half year, the total funds being £10,060 19s lid, an increase of £3OO for the half year. The following officers were elected for the coming term:—A.D., Bro. Frazer; V.A., Bro. Lapßley; secretary, Bro. Neate; treasurer, Bro. Desmond; M.S., Bro; Smith; AD. Bro. Watson and Bro. Johnson; V.A.D.B.'s wj H U A ck r, and Bro. Kinley; 1.G., Bro. Hyde; 0.G., Bro Rosonoski; G.L. representatives, Bro. Wright, Bro. Beckett, and Bro. Barnes; sub. representative, Bro. Marriottauditor, Bro. Morrison; trustee, Bro. Smith' dispensary delegates, Bro. Minson and Bro' Kickard ; F.S. Council delegate, Bro. Smith." A vote of thanks was passed to P.A. Bro. Robinson for his paßt services in filling the various chairs, and it was decided to present him. with a framed diploma on next lodge night.
