HUMPHREY BISHOP COMPANY.
THEATRE ROYAL. On Saturday, December 20th, the Theatre Ro.val stage will again be occupied by a real flesh-and-blood attraction when the Humphrey Bishop Comedy Company, so favourably known in the Dominion, will present a fine up-to-the-minute show. Mr Humphrey Bishop is bringing a company of artists who promise to langh and dance and sing their w»y into hearts till they set all laughing and dancing and sine* ing, too. Maurice Barling has quaint Simplicities and clever eccentricities, while Arthur Hemaiey provides bashful versatility. Then, just to balance the merriment, come Walter Kingsley and Dennis Sheard, who, with their sympathetic voices, will, it is said, "charm you to a tear." As a dancing exponent there is Sydney Montigne. Bnt dancing naturally makes one's thoughts turn to the ladies. There is Desiree, an embodiment ot grace, who partners Sydney Hontigue in a series of daring and brilliant dances, Owen Weston, a striking blonde, and Alison Dale, a dashing brunette. Then come Elaine Maye, a clever little comedian, and Hilda Dagdale, who is at her best in sketch work; while dainty Hilda Reaux with her soprano voice, and whimsical Thelma Trott with her heavier mezzo -soprano, uphold the vocal section. The stage scenery is reported to be brightly and attractively novel and varied. Box plans open on Thursday next at The Bristol.
