MR OSCAR GARDEN'S TOUR.

NORTH ISLAND ITINERARY. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM ) WELLINGTON, December 9. A bumpy trip across Cook Strait was the experience of Mr Oscar Garden and Captain Haig this afternoon. Leaving Nelson at 2.35, the airmen arrived at Rongotai at 4.10 p.m. Mr Garden was flying the !Kia Ora, and Captain Haig the Vacuum Company's Moth. Having completed their South Island itinerary, they will leave for Feilding about 9.15 to-morrow morning. From there they will go to Palmerston North, and arrive at Wanganui during the afternoon. On Thursday they continue their tour, going to Hawera, reaching New Plymouth on Friday, and flying to Auckland and WhaDgarei on Saturday. The aviators arrived at Nelson at 11.34 a.m., after a protracted trip, having to follow the coastline. Mr N. Chandler returned to Blenheim owing to fog and clouds. A civic welcome was given, followed by lunch.
