After hearing last week that an Atlantic salmon had been caught in L a ko Coleridge, Mr A. McLean, of Messrs W. H. lisdall, Ltd., communicated with friends in Invercargill, anc i asked them to let him know if any salmon of the same species had been caught in any of the southern lakes. Yesterday Mr McLean received a telegram from Invercargill, stating that what had been identified as a genuine Atlantic salmon had been caught on Sun. dav in Lake To Anau. The finders were sending the salmon to Christchurch, and it would arrive to-day. Mr Mcl Lean has accordingly made arrangements to have fish placed on exhibition to-day at the premises of Tisdalls, Cashel street.
