The A class yachts which entered numbered fifteen, while twenty-two entries were received for the B and Takapuna class. The former was a four-round, and the latter a course, via Tripod Buoy, opposite Fishermnti's Point, returning via Tripod Buoy to the buoy in the outer channel. The conditions included a strong incoming tide and a very light easterly. The Plea** ant Point and Lyttelton Clubs were well represented, and made a fine showing at times, but, half drifting and half sailing the conditions became impossible for the A class, which withdrew after the third round. In the B class only four boats finished. The results were as follows: — Gadflv (R. Beveridge) •• 1 Playmate (C. Monck) .. 2 Fidget (E. Morrison) .. «
