LAKE COLERIDGE LEVEL RECORD.—The above chart, which has been prepared by the Municipal Electricity Department, indicates the level of Lake Coleridge for the period March, 1929, to November, 1930. It will be noticed that the overflow level of 1672 ft was reached in December last and maintained until the end of February. In the winter of 1929 the lowest level reached was a little over 1666 ft, and it will be seen that during July and August the lake was rising. The chart shows very clearly the present position of the lake and conveys a much better idea than, for instance, the isolated statement that the lake has risen a foot within one week.
