The Reichstag defeated, by 293 to 253 votes, a Nationalist-Communist motion to revoke Bills for enforcing the Government's financial schemes. This decision even surprised the Government. A Nationalist motion of confidence was decided to bo inadmissablo for tactical reasons, after which a Nation-alist-Communist no-confidence motion was rejected by 291 to 156 votes. Cabinet will thus be able to proceed ' with its emergency legislation and | financial reforms. j " I
