MeConachy 1199. I'LAYEiJS' REQUEST IGNORED. LONDON, December o. W. Lmdruin, C. McC'onachy, J. Davis, find T. Newman have requested tho Billiards Association Control Council to adopt napless eloth and consult them regarding tho financial terms of the English championship. Both requests were ignored, consequently Lindrum and Davis announced that they will not bo competing in the championship. It is believed that Newman is contemplating going to Australia. McConacliy and Willie Smith are not competing in the championship. Thus the world's five best billiardists are not participating.
