PIONEER SPORTS CLUB.
* MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At a meeting of Ihe Executive Committee of the Pioneer Sports Club there ivero present: Messrs Angus Donaldson (chairman), R. Wallace, K. 0. Symcs, F. M. Collins, 0. Boonington, 14. 11. Parker, V. p. Sprosen. T. ti l * *isk, 11. Fen ton, and C. Hayward. Mr Parker reported on behalf of tho motor section that arrangements had been completed for tho holding of a grass (rack meeting: on February 14th. and that the New Brighton Trotting Club had consented to tho use of its grounds for the purpose. By the courtesy of Mr G. Kelland a race had been hold on his property at Rolleston, and had proved a most outstanding success. Three beach races had also been held since tho last meeting of the committee, and were well supported. It vaS tho intention of thp; motor section to provide for tho inclusion of light cars in tho two days' reliability trial to be held early next year, and also to promote a molor-cyclo and light car gymkhana at an early date, hill climbs, and further nil 1 TrctsS early in tho new year. The chairman reported that tho previous Wednesday tho athletic section had provided a very interesting evening's entertainment in the club rooms. He suggested the other .ecttoas of tho club should make an effort to do likewise. Mr C. Bunuiugt-oii expressed his willingness to screen a film depicting scenes that he had witnessed during Ills trip abroad last Mason. The offer of Mr iionmugton was accepted with thanks. ihe following new members were elected: —Messrs J. G Scott, F. J. Wendelken, E. H. fehirlcy, N. Bradley, 11. E. Wood, A. D. Kane, and E. Hill. The cash statement was presented, showing a credit of £lOl in the current account.
