Vivian Henry George V> 7 irk, 35, a salesman, was . sentenced to three months' imprisonment for being intoxicated when in charge of a car. . In defence he pleaded that he •was not driving the car, but only sitting in The Magistrate, on learning that defendant had been twico previously convicted, remarked: "I'm. not going to have these men playing the fool with cars." Defendant's Jicenso -\vas cancelled for two years.
