ESCAPE. * OTHERS UNDER GUARD AT SYDNEY. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —BZ ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received December stli, 8.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 5. Six Italians who were included in the batch prohibited from landing from the liner Orford have escaped from the ship. A close guard is being kept over the others. Three of the original complement have been allowed to depart for New Zealand. The remainder will be shipped back to Italy by the Orama, which now is in port. Sixty-six Italian migrants, who arrived by the Orient liner Orford at Sydney on Wednesday, were not allowed to land, under the instructions of the Federal Minister for Home Affairs (Mr A. Blakely). The Acting-Prime Minister (Mr E. J. Fenton) declined to comment, saying it was a matter of international significance and he was anxious to avoid complications. One hundred Italians on the incoming Otranto will also be returned to their own country. Two hundre.d .more who are about to embark on the Italian motor-ship Romolo for Australian ports have been stopped by cablegram.
