THE ROSE SHOW.
All indications point to the Canterbury Horticultural Society's Rose Show, to be held on Saturday in the Art Gallery, being a great success. According to Air H. L. Darton, the secretary, the season for roses in Christchurch and district has been a wonderful one, and authorities have told him that they have never seen such beautiful roses. He anticipated that the entries, which closed lijst night, would prove to he a record in numbers. Excellent competition is assured for the Lady Rhodes Memorial Cup for the best twelve roses.
