VATICAN CITY COINS.
THE POPE APPROVES OF DESIGNS. (edited press association*—bt electbio TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (Received December 4th, 12.40 a.m.) VATICAN CITY, December 3. Tho Pope has approved of designs for tho Vatican's special coinage. The one hundred lira gold piece, valued at approximately 225, will bear the effigy of tho Pope, the fifty lira gold piece will represent the Virgin Mary, while other gold coins will have images and inscriptions of a sacred character. A special series of ten thousand coins will bo minted and placed on sale for collectors of coins. They will be legal tender throughout Italy.
