LAND BOARD.

ELECTION OF CROWN TENANTS' REPRESENTATIVE. Mr D. Stowed was yesterday reelected Crown tenants' representative cn the Canterbury Land Board. Two nominations were received for the seat, the other being that of Mr H. J Francis. The voting was as follows: David Stowell, retired, Timaru, 752. Hubert John Frauds, farmer, Lees Vniio, 197. Mr stowell has held the seat unopposed for many years. The election took place at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr W. Stewart), who was the returning officer.
