A meeting of those interested in the iiiation of a Swimming Club «,? he held in the Beckenham School on Friday evening next. . St. Luke's carnival will comiowce 10 the Art Gallery this afternoon, and will he continued to-morrow. . . , A benefit dance, in aid of the Municipal Rand contest fund, will be held in th© Caledonian Hall this evening. . The "Selwyn House" fete will he held in Dr. Foster's garden, 399 Papanui road, nest Saturday afternoon.
