TE AROHA JUBILEE.
A WEEK'S FESTIVITIES. U'RESa ifiOCIATION TEtXOVii VII. > TE ABOHA, December 1. The celebration of the jubilee of To Aroha commenced yesterday with a united thanksgiving service attended by a thousand people. Addreses were given by local clergy, and tho singing was led by a choir of 75 voices drawn from all Protestant denominations. At the service were a hundred pioneers, including many who were at Te Aroha at the opening of the goldfields. The celebrations will extend over a week. An air pageant was held to-day, ten machines taking part. A feature of the week's programme will be the entertainment of old identities, for whom expensive provision has been made.
