SEARCH FOR PETROLEUM.
ARRIVAL OF EXPERTS. j THE PBESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, December 1. Attached to the staff of the Vacuum Oil Company, three expert petroleum geologists arrived in Wellington by the Maunganui from Sydney to-day. They were Dr. E. Jablonski, leading technical geologist, Mr C. J. Bremner, of California, and Mr N. Osborne, an Australian. During the last 12 months they have been making on behalf of the company a geological reconnaissance of practically the whole of Australia, and they are now on their way back to the United States. They intend, however, to stay for a month in New Zealand. Dr. Jablonski, who came from Poland originally, would not speak of oil prospects in Australia, the determination of which were one of the purposes of the recently completed reconnaissance. Their report would be made to their company, ho said, and they had no opinions to offer.
