For stealing a bicycle valued at £6, the property of lvau Granger McAliece, Thomas litchard Sadler, a labourer, ap:ed 2-1, was sentenced to a month'* imprisonment with hard labour. . Sub Inspector P. For assaulting Mary Murphy, Strella Frederick Guy. a rabbit-trapper, aged 'M, was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment with hard labour. Police evidence was that a passer-by bad heard screams coming from a house, and on investigating found Mra Murphy with blood streaming from her nose. She pointed to accused ab the assailant, and the police wero cent for. TRAFFIC CASES. For leaving cars parked over the lime limit the following were lined 10s and costs:— John E. Austin, William E. Cordcry, Frederick B. Key*, Edwin Shepard, Robert Spiers, and Aileeu Wado. For a similar ofience Edward Brook was lined 15s and costs. Charles E. Blacklock was lined 20s and costs for passing a standing tram. For driv.ng without being the holder of a driver's license, Ernest Edwardson, Frank Morroll, ana Herbert le Page were each lined 10s and costs. Alfred L. Church (Mr 11. Twyneham) was fined 20s and costs for not complying with o -rafiic inspector's signal. For a similar olfence Amy L. Scott was fined £2 and costs. Charles T. Darling was lined 10s and costs for parking his car within 20 feet of an intersection. For using a lorry not licensed under the heavy traffic regulations, William J. Brooding (Mr E. England) was fined A2 and costs, l'or having no unladen weight plate on the lorry he was convicted and discharged. Henry J. fa. Albert William Smith, for holding on to a motor-cyclist while riding a cycle, was fined ■3s and costs. Charles S. Trillo, jun., for permitting a cyclist to bo towed, was fined 5s and costs. Ben H. Stephens was fined 10s and corts for riding a bicycle on the footpath. For not parking his car alongts'dd the kerb, Patrick Walsh was fined 6s and costs. VOLUNTARY APPEARANCES. Edward Anderson was fined lUa and costs for leaving his car parked over the tinif limit. James H. Milligan (Mr J. K. Moloney) was fined 5s and costs for overtaking - vehicle on an intersection, and 10s and costs for driving without a license. George Williamson was fined 10a and costs tor cycling on th<* footpath. (Before Mr 11. P. La wry, S.M.) DISOBEDIENCE OF MAINTENANCE ORDER. Louis Myers Toomer, for disobcdienco of a maintenance order, was convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment, issue of warrant to be suspended as long a« he pays 5s per week off the arrears, in addition to the amount of the current order. SEPARATION ORDERS. On the grounds of habitual inebriacy, separation and maintenance orders were made ngalnst William Henry James Simpson. Main tenance was fixed at £2 per week. Separation, guardianship, and maintenance orders were made against Alfred Wicks. Maintenance was fixed at £2 a week.
