meeting OP DOMINION executive. CHIEF SCOUT'S ITINERARY. . meetln g of the Dominion Executive Committee of the Boy Scouts' Association was held on Friday night, Br. P. Clennell Penwick, C.M.G., Honorary Chief Commissioner, presiding. Ihe Chief Commissioner announced that the Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Pow-ell, had awarded the Association's Siler Cros3 to Scouts David Corstorphine, Basil Crosby, an d Lymburn Cowan, of the Maugapapa Group, Gisborne. The awards ■ were gained for the following action:—The Mangapapa Group of Boy Scouts were in camp near the Waikohou river on December Slat, 1929. At about 11 a.m., whilst watching some Wolf Cubs swimming;, Cub Solomon and Cub Race fell off the bank into the river, at a point where the current is extremely rapid. Neither of these Cubs being able to swim, they were in difficulties immediately, and were carried down stream to where Cubs Bowen and Thompson were swimming. The four boya became mixed up and their plight was noticed by Corstorphine, Crosby, and Cowan. These three Scouts immediately dashed into the water and brought Cuba Solomon, Race, and Thompson ashore. Solomon had swallowed a fair amount of water, iinl had to be revived by artificial respiration. At the point where the rescue took place, the river was about 30 to 40 feet wide, between 7 to 8 feet deep, with a rapid current. Arrangements are being made to havo the threo Scouts brought to Wellington to receive their decorations at the hands of Lord Baden-Powell him eclf. on the occasion of the Wellington) Rally, to be held on February 2Sth EeiM.t. Chief Scout's Visit. The following ia the amended itinerary of the' Chief Scout's visit to New Zealand:— Wednesday, February 13th—Arrives Auckland by Rangitata. Thursday, February 19th —In Auckland. • Friday, February —ln ' Auck land. Saturda'v, February 21st—Auckland Rally. Sunday, February 22nd—Leaves night express 7.40 p.m. for Hamilton, en route for Rotorua. Monday, February 23rd—At Rotorua Tuesday, February 24th—At Rotorua. Wednesday, February 25th—At Rotorua.

Thursday, February 26th —Travelling to Wellington. Friday, February 27th—Free day to Wellington. Saturday, February 23th—Wellington Rally. Sunday, March 1st —In Wellington Monday, March 2nd —Leavo evening ferry for Christchurch. Tuesday, March 3rd—Arrive Christchurch. Civic Reception 12 noon. Luncheon to Chief Scout, 1 p.m. Chief Guide with Guides. Wednesday, March 4th—Resting ill country with Dominion Chief Commissioner. Thursday, March sth—Resting in country with Dominion Chief Commissioner. Friday, March Gth —Return to Christchurch in afternoon.

Saturday, March 7 th —ChristchurjQ Rally. Sunday, March Sth —Cathedra) Service. Leave, evening l'or Duncdin. Monday, March 9 th—Arrives Dunedin. Tuesday, March 3 oth—ln Dunedin. Wednesday, March 11th—Dunedin Rally. Thursday, March 12th —Leaves Dunedin 8 a.m. for Wellington. Friday, March 13th—Arrives Wellington and departs for Sydney by Marama. Correspondence was received from his Excellency the Governor-General regretting that, as he will be on tour, he will not now be able to accommodate Lord and Lady Baden-Powell at Government House, Auckland, as previously arranged. Whilst in Auckland the Chief Scout and Chief Guide will be the guests of Mrs Wilson, the Dominion Chief Com missioner of Girl Guides. In Wellington, Lord and Lady BadenPowell will be guests of Sir Francis and Lady Bell, at Lowry Bay. They will be accompanied throughout their Dominion tour by the Dominion Chief Commissioner for Scouts (Dr. P Clennell Fenwick), and the Dominion Guide Commissioner (Mrs W. R. Wilson).
