An amendment was also agreed to providing for the exemption of lareliolders from the special super tax or 1s 6d in the £1 chargeable on the property portion of a company's income, an imposed also on dividends from income whereon a company has already paid super tax. Lord Stonehaven (retiring GovernorGeneral of Australia) has arrived in Glasgow.
