RIFLE SHOOTING.
TIMARU DEFENCE CLUB. The Timaru Dafenco Rifla Club held lis weekly shoot on the club range at Scarborough, on Saturday afternoon. The matoh ono of seven shots at 300, 500, and COO yard ranges. Riflemen W. Bradshaw and C. Blackwood each registered a possible at 500. Rifleman G. Carmichael provided the surprise of the day by scoring 98 olf the rifle, being three points ahead of the next man. Hie boards read : 300, 6555435 —32; 500, 5555545—34; GOO, 5435555—32. The match of tho day was won by Rifleman A. Duncan, one of the young shots of the club.
