PRISONERS SENTENCED.

(P5.253 ASSOCZJ-TION TBUZOEiV.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 28. Prisoners were sentenced at the Supreme Court this morning by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, as follows: — Ernest Wilfred Taylor, who pleaded guilty to theft as a servant, two years' probation and to pay the cost of the prosecution. William Norrio Wotter, who pleaded guilty to a charge of carnal knowledge, twelve months' reformative detention, with a special recommendation for favourable consideration at the expiration of six months. Charles Herbert Mahoney, who pleaded guilty to forgery, twelve months' reformative detention. Campbell McDonald, who pleaded guilty to three charges of theft, twelve months' reformative detention. William Holmes, who pleaded guilty to six charges of forgery, six charges of uttering, and six charges of theffc of money, two years' hard labour. Frederick Dodd, who pleaded guilty to five charges of forgery and five charges of uttering and five charges of theft of money, two years' probation. Thomas Alfred Botterill, convicted of theft by failing to account, probation for five years and to pay £2O costs ol the prosecution in half-yearly instalments of £5.
