REGENT THEATRE.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE OF OSCAR GARDEN. Mr Oscar Garden, New Zealand's intrepid aviator, will appear at the Regent on Monday night and will recount some of the experiences in his flight from England to Australia. Tho management of tho Regent are to bo congratulated in thus enabling the people ol Chriatchurch to be brought into close touch with a very brave gentleman of whom all New Zealand is proud. Hailed as tho talking screen's most thrilling outdoor production, Universal's dramatic drama of the human triangle, "The Storm." will bo presented at the Regent on Monday. Lupo Velez, the clever and charming Mexican actress, together with William Boyd and Paul Cayanagh, are the featured stars. Tho human situation in ''The Storm" is sufficient in itself to furnish drama and suspense enough for any picture. Two men, old friends, penned up in a snow-bound cabin with the girl whom both love, while death by starvation closes down upon all three, the love hunger in the hearts of tho men hourly brings each other closer and closer to the other's throat. In .addition to the tensb emotional effects, there are natural thrills of intensity in the avalanches, blizzards, and terrflc snow storms that are depicted with vivid realism. The box plans aro at The Bristol Piano Company.
