MAJESTIC THEATRE.
REDUCTION IN PRICES. Mr Harry Waters, general manager of Christchurcli Cinemas, Ltd., has taken a bold step in so considerably reducing the prices of admission at the Majestic Theatre. Commencing on Monday next the pricoa—probably the lowest talkie prices in tho Southern Hemisphere, if not tho world —will be matinees: Stalls 6d and 9d, circle Is, children 6d to all parts. Evening session: fetalis Is and Is 6d, circle 2s, with children half-price to all seats. Hollywood, with nil its joys and ail its heart-aches, is portrayed in most realistic manner in "A Show Girl in Hollywood," to bo presented on Monday. Previous pictures connected t with Hollywood have dealt with the lighter side of things as they prevail in studioland, but in the present instance the author has written and the producer has presented in admirable fashion a strong human story setting out the troubles that beset a stage actress who secures a contract to appear in Hollywood. The plot rings true to life. It is unusually interesting. It carries conviction, and there is a moral to it which should bo noted by young women who aspiro to a screen career. The box plans aro at The Bristol Piano Company.
