THESE FEATURES ARE A PART OF THE SERVICE THE LOCATION Situated right in the centre of Wellington within a few minutes of the two Railway Stations and Overseas Steamship Berthings, this new Hotel has been planned on most modern and generous lines. In building, the Proprietors have been inspired with one ideal, namely, that the Hotel St. George should prove to be the final word in guest comfort. Unceasing effort has been spent in making this a fact, and spacious accomodation has been provided for all. THE RESIDENTS' LOUNGE Alighting on the second floor, the visitor enters the Residents* Lounge which, with its air of quietness and distinction, resembles a luxurious private club. Careful thought has been put into the furnishing of this Lounge with the result that it radiates harmonious comfort. MANAGERIAL Mr. G. H. Bassant, who has been in charge of the Grand Hotel, Auckland, for some years past, and who has had a wide Hotel experience both in the West End of London and on the Continent of Europe, has leased the Hotel for an extended period, and will at all times be available to personally attend to the comfort and entertainment of his guests. THE PALM LOUNGE On the first floor' is the beautifully decorated Palm Lounge where guests, with their friends, may foregather for a leisure hour, a cup of afternoon tea or any other refreshment they may desire, surrounded by a cosy atmosphere of restful ease. THE SELF-CONTAINED SUITES There are many SELF-CONTAINED SUITES, both single and double, in which are to be found all those comforts their occupants may desire; luxury without ostentation; convenience without losing that really homelike atmosphere. Behind it all that unobtrusive yet efficient service which instinctively makes the visitor feel welcome. THE CUISINE The services of a Chef with an International reputation have been obtained, and he will supervise his various assistants, who have been chosen with extreme carc. In this department no effort is being spared towards excelling in every branch of culinary art. The most modern and up-to-date Kitchen has been installed and fitted with the latest appliances for ensuring perfect cuisine. THE SERVIDOR SERVICE Every room in the Hotel is equipped with a "Servidor." This convenience is universal in the best hotels in the United States of America, and is the solution to the problem experienced by all hotels not so equipped, ensuring as it does private and efficient Room Service.
