PIONEER SPORTS CLUB.
MOTOR SECTION MEETING. Mr R. H. Parker presided at a meeting of the motor section of the Pioneer Sports Club last evening. Intimation that the New Zealand Auto-Cycle Union proposed holding its next annual conference .at Christchurch was received in a circular from the Union, and it was decided to advise them that the cltib was in favour of the proposal. The New Brighton Trotting Club forwarded approval of February 14th as the date for the grass track meeting on the club's course at New Brighton. Officials for the , miniature tourist trophy trials, to be held at Rolleston on Saturday, were appointed as follows: — Starter, Mr R. H. Parker; judges, Messrs H. 3x. Payne and G. D. Robson; timekeepers, Messrs B. H. Parker, M. P. ! Jones, E. S. Velvin, F. J. Davie; marshals, Messrs P. P. Sprosen, H. S. Butcher? course stewards, Messrs P. J. Butcher, H. D. Lee, L. S. Cumming, and J. B Boyce. It was decided to run the trials in two classes, one for machines ur to 2$ h.p., and the other for machines that. Post entries will be accepted. Messrs R. H. Parker, C. Hayward, W. F. Marsh, M. Hockley, E. J. Bradshaw, and A. W. Haden were appointed a subcommittee to arrange details of the mystery competition. "it was resolved that first and second places in Bonnington Cup events, tourist trophy and mystery competitions be awarded two points and. one respectivelv. Messrs R. H. Parker, W. F. Marsh, T. R. McCleary, M. P. Jones, A. H. Haden, and E. G. Bradshaw were elected to a committee to draw up a provisional half-year programme. Mr W. L. Minson was elected the club's. delegate to the special meeting of the South Island Motor Union to be held at Invercargill on December sth, and at the quarterly meeting of the Union on the same date.
