The Federal Government has decided to pay a bonus of twenty shillings per ounce on all gold produced in Australia in excess of last year's production. The Labour Caucus claims that this will attract millions of English capital and will probably give employment to fifty thousand miners and prospectors. PROSPECTS AT YASS PROMISING. (Received November 27th, 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 27. Tlie official report of the gold discovery in the Yass district describes the reef as being from eight to fourteen inches wide and containing goo<i rich gold. Prospects are most promismg.
