JUDGE CRITICISES JURY. CAPE TOWN, November 25. • Following the acquittal of a man charged with culpable homicide, Judge Russell startled the Bulawayo Court by discharging accused, saying, "You are uncommonly successful in finding a most idiotic jury." I.EVINE RELEASED ON BAIL. VIENNA, November 25. The Criminal Court has released Charles Levine, the millionaire American flyer, who was arrested on a charge of counterfeiting, on £ISOO bail. His solicitors have cabled to Mrs Levine in New York, with whom a divorce suit is pending, and the- money was cabled forthwith. Levino says he is confident of proving his innocence. NEGOTIATIONS BREAK DOWN. CAPE TOWN, November 25.
Negotiations between the Voortrekkers' movement and the South African Boy Scouts' Council, for the establishment of an independent South African Boy Scout movement have broken down. The Yoortrekkers wanted the words in the oath, "God and the King" changed to "God and the Fatherland," as well aa to abolish the Union Jack at camps. The Scouts' Council refused, and has suggested that the matter be referred to General J. B. M. Hertzog (Prime Minister).
