"HALFWA.Y TO HEAVEN."
"Halfway to Heaven," at the Crystal Palace Theatre this week, is a really excellent talking picture, and it should not bo missed. Charles (Buddy) Rogers and Jean Arthur act very well in the leading parts. "SONG OF THE FLAME." Produced entirely in teohnicolour, First National and Vitaphone's brilliant musical dramatic romance, "Song of the Flame," will bo presented ut the Crystal Palace on Monday next. In the matter of story, acting, and background, "Song oi the Elaine" .stands out uu a notable achievement. Pour player* ia the large cast deserve particular mention be* cause of their line characterisations and aubtantial contributions Lu the vocal sequence* in the picture. Thoy are Bornico Claire, the prima donna: Alexander Gray, who playa opposite her; Noah Beery in an intensely dramatic portrayal of a leader of the revolution depicted in the production; and Alice Gentle, • foremost operatic star.
