It was alleged that in -March, April, and July last he received certain sums ranging from L'2 to £o on terms requiring him to account for them to Nathan Tossman. furrier, of Christchurch, and failed to do so, thereby committing the crime of theft. After a retirement of four hours, the jury disagreed and Mr Justice lleecl ordered a new trial at the next se^sio."];;.
