PUBLIC HOSPITAL.

TWO BEQUESTS MADE. Two bequests, amounting to £3BOO, to the Christchurch Hospital and allied institutions were acknowledged by yesterday's meeting of the Korth Canterbury Hospital Board. The Finance Committee reported having received advice from the Public Trustee that, under the will of Mr Robert Peppcrell, about £3500 had been left for the general purposes of the Christchurch Hospital, subject to a life interest. Under ■ the will of Sir Archibald Binnie, Messrs Wynn-Williams, Brown, and Gresson had advised that £.300 had been bequeathed to endow a bed at the Children's Sanatorium for Consumption. This was also subject to a life interest.
