In April fast a motor-cyclist named John Hanilyu White lost control oi his machine when turning a corner in Hamilton and crashed into a party of workmen at - lunch on tjie fool path. One man, Samuel William Tallin, had a leg and a bone in a wr.st broken, and today he received CSOl' damages 011 a claim for £1640. the case being settled out of court.
