LATE FATHER GILBERT.
FLN ERAL ARRANGE.MFNTS. The body of the Rev. Father Gilbert, icotor of St. Bede's College, who died on Monday evun.ng, lay last night in the St. Bode's College Cliupel. At 9 o'clock this morning a Solemn High Mass will be sung there by the boys of the school and at 7 o'clock this evening the body will bo brought to the liumun Catholic Cathedral, where the Olljct; of the Dead will be chanted by the clergy. To-morrow morning at L 0 o clock, Solemn High Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral, Bishop Brodie being the celebrant. His Lordship will also preach the panegyric. 'I he funeral cortege will leave the Cathedral immediately after the Mass for Waimairi Cemetery, where the interment will take place. The order of the procession will be as follows: Clergy, present scholars of St. Bode's, representatives of the old boys of St. Bede's and St. Patrick's College, Wellington, tho casket, relatives, and finally the general public. A guard of honour will be formed at the Cathedral by the boys of St. Bede's and the children of the Roman Catholic schoo I 3of Christchurch will line Barbadoes street as the cortege passes.
It is expected that the Bishops of the other dioceses of New Zealand will attend to-morrow's Mass in the Cathedral and clergy representing many of the other parishes of the Dominion will l>e present.
