KAIAPOI MALE CHOIR.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meoting of the Kaiapoi Male Choir was held last night, the president (Mr J. H. Blackwell) presiding over a full attendance* In reviewing the past year tho report stated that the membership had been well main* tained. The committee offered its thanks to the Christchurch Liedtertafel for the loan of music, and advised that, in order to maintain the variety of porgrammes it would probably bo necessary to procure new numbers during the coming season. In expressing appreciation of the continued assistance given to tho choir by its conductor (Mr G. E. March), the committee recorded its grateful thanks to him for his continued enthusiasm and untiring devotion, which had brought the choir to tho high standard it had attained. Appreciative reference was made to tho work of the honorary accompanist (Miss Marjorie Childs), and the assistance given to the choir at its concerts by Mesdames J. H. Cocks, 0. Stewart, and Messrs J. H. Cocks, Allison, J. Laurenson, J. Hinton, J. F. Thompson, and S. J. Morgan. The choir also extended its thanks to the Kaaipoi Working Men's Club for the use of a practice room during tho year. The president and Miss Blackwell were thanked for entertaining the members and their friends at supper after the final concert of the season. The committee advised that in future practices would be held in the J-p'T.U rooms. On November 17th the choir had paid its annual visit to the Chrißtchurcb. Hospital and tho Rannerdale Homo, where the programmes given were very much appreclamL t* lo inmates. The report and balance-sheet, the latter 8 a credit balance, were adopted. .
