ESCAPE FROM ROTO ROA.
TUES9 ASSOCIATION TJJLEOEAM.) AUCKLAND, November 24. In the teeth of a south-westerly gale 011 Saturday night, Hugh Jones, aged 45), a seaman, left the Roto Roa inebriates' home in a dinghy without proper oars. He rowed with poles on which ho nailed bits of board and landed at daybreak near Tamaki. There he took a bus to the city. Later in tho day he was nrrested, and to-day he was remanded on a charge of escaping.
