ACCIDENTS.
GIRL BURNED TO DEATH. (TZXS3 4PSOCIA.TIOH T2LEOBAK.) WHANGAR.EI, November 24. A tragedy occurred in the country district beyond Maroinaku on Saturday night, when a thirteei»-year r old Maori eirl, named Tipere, was burned to death. Her parents were out visiting, leaving the girl and four younger brothers in the house. Late at njght, the House was found to be on fire. The boys escaped, but the girl was trapped. Her charred remains were found among the debris of the building, which had only recently been constructed. LABOURER INJURED. (.P&KSS ASSOCIATION TELZOKAM.) TAUMARUNUI. November 24. Hugh Canioron, aged forty-nine, a Public Works employee at Ohura, missed his footing on a bridge on Sat r urday and fell twenty r five feet to a stream below. Ho suffered injuries to the qhest and ribs and is now in the Tauniarunui Hospital in a serious' condition.
