Sir Otto Niemeycr, interviewed here by the "Fiji Times,'' said: "At the present time I ain afraid there is nothing very hopeful to be said concerning Australia. Reconstruction is not a matter of a few months: it.will be a long business, and hard work and strict economy will be ucccssarv."
Sir Otto Niemeycr was optimistic con cerning New Zealand's future, stating
"Given sanity nnd steadiness, t think New Zealand will be quite all right. Thorp is nothing wrong with (hat country."
