Mrs Mowsar and her four-year-old daughter were thrown into a dam at Marrar, in southern New South Wales, through the overturning of a sulky when their pony shied. Tho husband, a local farmer, being unable to swim, rushed to the spot and tied a rope round the sulky and attached the other end to a fence. He then waded in beyond his depth, recovered tho bodies separately and blew down the victims' throats. Their breathing was gradually restored. Neighbours were summoned

and applied the orthodox xMUHI methods. The daughter wM pletely reeoverd, but the witt wa * ** hours recovering.
