The trustees of the Kugby street Methodist Church entertained those who had taken a prominent part in recent church activities on Thursday evening. The Rev. L. B. Neale was in the chair. Musical items were given by the Misses Davis (2), Wilkinson, Mrs Stallard, and Mrs Colth'ard. An interesting address, in which humour and good advice were combined, was given by the Hon. L. M. Isitt, M.L.C. Other speakers were Messrs C. C. Sandford, V. Bedwell, W.

Simpson, N. Johns, and C. H. E. Graham. The chairman expressed his pleasure at tlie large attendance and summarised the many-sided operations of Christian service, in which his office-bearers took a foremost part.
