SHOW RECORDS.
TO THIS EDITOR OF THE PrtKSS Sir, —As one who has attended most of the A. anil P. Shows throughout Canterbury for a number of years, I would be grateful if you or some of your readers would settle thin interesting point which arose a few days ago. In your reports of the Timaru and Northern A. and P. Shows just recently published, Timaru is quoted as holding its 65th and Northern its 61st Show. Now. both Associations held their first Show in 1860, the former in October and the latter in December, and in the discussion my : friend says they should both be 05. ("But I maintain that Northern "died or slept" for about four years. If my contention is correct, will you or some of your readers kindly inform us through the columns of your valuable paper in what years Northern did not hold its Show.—Yours, etc., A. AND P. Soutlibridge, November 20th, 1930. [There was a break in the 'seventies in the continuity of the Northern A. and P. Show.—Ed. The Press.]
