SPOIL DUMPS IN THE PARK.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE' TRESS. Sir, —I was annoyed to-day, but should not have been surprised, to notice while walking from Armagh street bridge to Riocarton road that the heaps of spoil which were dumped under the trees for so long hnve left us a reminder in a dense crop of weeds—thistles, ooeks, fennel, and a lot of other stuff that will now be there forever. Why the Council—or whoever wits responsible—was ever allowed to dump all that rubbish there, I don't know; but I hope the lesson we have now had wi.ll °nd the practice forever. Even if wrodn had not boon introduced, it would take years for tho and turf to bo what they wero originally —Yours, etc., THISTLE. November 21st, 1930.
