SKATING RECORD.

Skating from half past ten oxl Wednesday evening until 9.35 p.m. on Saturday, T. Isemonger succeeded in setting up a fresh record for endurance skating in New Zealand. The previous record had been made in Duncdiii, and stood at 68fyra 15min, Isemonger broke this record without trouble, and was skating easily when he stopped on Saturday, having been moving continuously for 71hrs lGmin. He gave an exhibition of fast skating and dancing towards the end of his effort, and was accorded a reception by those who attended the rink in Dundas street.
